Redland Hospital opened a new birthing unit with three Venus Birth Pools in March 2020. For the first time, with the opening of this new facility, women in Redland Coast can now access water birth. Local families now don’t need to travel outside the region to access water birth.
The upgraded birthing suites at Redland Hospital include facilities for water births.
The hospital added a new birth suite and refurbished its two existing birth suites to accommodate birthing pools. It allows the hospital to give mums-to-be more choice of birthing options.
